Crime Types

A felony is a hard or a serious crime. The word is now in use in U.S. and losing its popularity in UK. A person who committed Felony usually receives a long sentence for the crime. Easier kinds of crime are called misdemeanors. Typical examples of felony are murder, rape and arson.

Manslaughter and Murder. There is a difference between those two types of crime. Mansoughter is a crime of killing of a person, which involves less culpable than that of murder. It is described that a crime to be attributed as murder requires an intent. A person accused of manslaughter does not intend to cause death of the victim. Crime such as assisted suicide is manslaughter too.

Theft in crime lexicon is also called stealing. This crime is described as illegal taking of other human being's property without his/hers consent. Theft is by far the most popular crime ever!
